CF#2: Heavy: 1.250" OD (Straight Contour) -- ~4lbs 8oz @ 24"

CF#3: Ultralight: 1.220" (Shank), .990" OD -- ~2lbs 14oz @ 22"

Stretched CF Contour Illustration

All muzzle threads are available for Contour #'s 1 and 2, #3 available up to 11/16"x24

All calibers we offer are available for Contour #'s 1 and 2, #3 available up to .375 caliber

Just like our regular contoured blanks, these are hand-lapped and inspected with a bore scope for imperfections and come with the barrel specifications stamped on the breech end.

Carbon fiber contoured blanks leave here at final desired finished length and cannot be muzzle-threaded by the end user; this is due to the way we apply the carbon fiber.  Either we do the muzzle threading for you, finish the muzzle as an unthreaded crown, or leave the crown to be finished by the buyer/smith (there will not be enough usable material to cut muzzle threads after-the-fact).

All carbon-fiber contoured blank lengths are how they leave the shop as their intended *FINISHED LENGTH*

Carbon Fiber Contoured Blanks require a selection be made for either finished (crowned and/or threaded) or unfinished muzzle crown.

--Unfinished muzzles will not have a finalized crown or threads, and can be finish crowned but cannot be threaded after-the-fact.

--Finished muzzles will be crowned, finished and/or threaded.  Crowned Carbon Fiber Barrels cannot be threaded after-the-fact.

X-Caliber Barrel & MFG will not be held accountable for any damage to the carbon fiber by gunsmith or end user due to improper finishing or installation methods.

6.5mm straight contour carbon barrel
I’ve got a straight contour carbon fiber barrel chambered up in 6.5 creedmoor on my impact action. It’s hard to explain how awesome this barrel is. No matter what ammo I put in it it seems to shoot under 3/4 moa. I’ve used this barrel at the nrl hunter matches and I managed to take 8th place in New Mexico. I’ll be getting another for a big horn origin hunting rifle I’m putting together.

7mm 24" ultralight
Overall a nice barrel.  Borescope photos show a very nicely polished bore.  Was not able to find any defects or tooling marks.  The exterior finish is nice and clean.  Again, overall, a nice barrel.  Initial accuracy testing is showing promise.

Docking 1 star for 2 reasons.

Advertised weight of 2 lbs 14 oz is inaccurate.  Mine weighed 3 lbs 3 oz before machining.

The BIG one, the curve on this barrel is HUGE!  I dialed in the first few inches of the chamber end to under 0.0002 total indicator reading so that the reamer would cut perfectly square to the bore (Gordy Gritters technique).  After this the TIR on the muzzle end was .075"!  I thought I had made a mistake so I checked it 3 times.  This barrel is relatively shaped like a banana.

I probably should have contacted X-caliber but I needed to get this rifle done so I proceeded anyway.  I clocked the curve up to the 12 o'clock position so maybe in the end it will be an advantage when I get to stretch it out.  Time will tell.
